OXYGEN SUpply Upgrade

Oxygen Supply Upgrade

Following 40+ years of operation in the current facilities GMSTC have ambitious plans to increase the availability of Oxygen Therapy (OT), for a variety of health conditions, covering the Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire communities.

At present OT is delivered using Liquid Oxygen  (LOX) as its source and any increase in capacity  would present an increase in delivery and supply cost to GMSTC. Extensive research and evaluation has been carried out  and it was determined that converting from LOX to an O2 Generator would see a reduced operating cost to the Centre whilst providing room for expanding the capabilities and reducing our environmental impact.
The cost to procure and install an O2  Generator is significant however the project  will be 100% funded by a generous donation from the family of the late Keith Ritchie, an active member and supporter of GMSTC.

The O2 Generator will be supplied and supported by Dundee based BRE using major components provided by Atlas Copco, an Industry Leader in this type of equipment
